Cristina, how was the idea born to write the sequel to “The Secret Ways of Perfume”?
Elena has always remained in my heart and I wanted to help her resolve her relationship with her mother Susanna. Life was flowing and her love for Caillen could give her life the gentle tone it deserved.
Then one night I smelled a perfume in the air and the story began to take shape in my mind. The writing did the rest.

Thanks to Elena, I’ve been able to understand a lot about myself. I discovered how much a fragrance can do for us.

Can I tell you a secret? Donna Iris is now my perfume. When I first heard the head notes, it was as if I had the urge to cross the threshold of consciousness. Consequently, if the perfume knows who I am, I can also say that I know myself.
